When I started out online part II
Remember how I told you about my futile attempts to even come
up with some way of making money online.
I know I had some software that I was giving away but the
hurdle to set up credit card payments, all the strange
paperwork (yes, back then I actually had to print out, sign and
send papers using snailmail to get things up and running) and
security, download pages and other stuff made me go crazy as
well as decide that I hadn’t a clue about what I had to do.
I had seen invitations from other marketers that I could send
new customers to them and that I would get a piece of the cake
if someone bought something.
That seemed like a great idea until I had to confess to myself
that I had no ways of sending anyone anywhere :
So finally, I found a couple of places where one could upload
ebooks (almost all in .exe format) and I pulled out my trusted
but almost empty credit card and purchased a program that took
text files and converted them into an executable windows file.
I had just become a member of the warrior forum and included in
that membership was a number of text documents about a lot of
things. Some of them “with rights”.
I took a couple of them and added them up to a little bit
longer text document and spiced in with some affiliate links
(looking beyond terrible) and created the executable ebook.
The ebook was uploaded to the sites and I sat back waiting for
money to pour in!
And wait I did …
Almost a month later I still hadn’t received one single clickon
any of my links.
Why?
Yup, you guessed it. The long, long url’s had several spelling
errors in them so clicking them only produced an error.
Ok, redo the links + testing them and a new upload.
I then waited for several days and checked the stats.
My heart almost stopped, I had over 20 clicks!
But no money.
After the first month I had over 100 clicks but no money
anywhere.
Ok, time to sit down and re-read all the instructions.
Lo and behold, the affiliate url had a number xxxxxx in it and
I was supposed to change them for my affiliate id *blushing*, I
had missed that.
New fix, new upload and a new wait.
The clicks came in but no money and several months later, I
still hadn’t made even one sale.
Ultimately, I never made any sales even though the technique
was sound and well thought out.
Now back to this day.
It’s easier than ever to create an ebook.
Today a multitude of software can create pdf files and that
isthe best format possible as all computer users can read the
format using the free acrobat reader (or other tools).
Affiliate programs are like the stars in the sky, there are
more of them, then what you can count.
So all the ingredients are in place to make ebook marketing
something that really works you can do with little investment.
As promised here’s a completely free download that will help
you come up with a good topic for your new successful ebook!
Download the pdf from

I’ll be back with some more useful info for you to download in
a day or two!
See you then.

P.S. Good Luck with your ebook creation!
